Special forming rollers are used to apply a fine micropattern on both sides of the glass, in order to minimise direct reflection and the resulting dazzle. GMB SINA has a very high solar transmittance and is therefore one of the highest-performance types of glass for flat-plate collectors and photovoltaic modules on the market.

The two sides of our GMB ASTRA solar glass have different patterns, each with a specific surface roughness. In addition to minimising reflection and dazzling, this considerably reduces the view into the collector’s interior. Due to its good incidence angle modifier (IAM), our GMB ASTRA is the perfect solution for top-performance collectors with reduced view inside the collector.

The special feature of our GMB CONE solar glass is its geometric pyramidal pattern. Its performance and annual solar energy output are slightly lower compared to the other types of GMB glass, but GMB CONE reliably reduces both dazzle effects and the view into the collector’s interior.

Our GMB CLEAR is a non-pattern special glass manufactured with smooth forming rollers. Thanks to its extraordinarily smooth structure, light scattering is reduced to a minimum, while light transmittance is markedly higher than in the case of float glass.

GMB DEFLECT has been specifically designed for locations where reflected light needs to be reduced to a minimum – for instance, near airports. In addition, our GMB Deflect has a very high solar transmittance and is thus one of the highest-performance types of glass for photovoltaic use.
